The course aims to provide an update account of the laboratory diagnosis of brain tumors, including both histology and molecular pathology. It hopes to bring pathologists, neurosurgeons', pediatricians' and oncologists' level of laboratory diagnostic expertise to that of WHO 2016 classification and beyond. Both adult and pediatric tumor groups will be covered. The first two days will be lectures and the third day, an optional, hands-on workshop.
Who should attend the Workshop ?
Pathologists, neurosurgeons, pediatric oncologists, oncologists and interested scientists. There will be many opportunities for direct interaction between speakers and audience due to a workshop set-up.

The African Strategies for Advancing Pathology(ASAP) are focused on studying and promoting the work of pathologists in Africa and a current project they are undertaking is focused on better understanding the geographical spread of pathologists in Africa.
The Australasian Division came into existence as an unincorporated body in 1972. It held its Inaugural Meeting on 30 June, 1973 at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital under the presidency of Dr. Vincent J. McGovern. The Division was incorporated in June 1984
